A precise diagnosis

At EuroPainClinics®, the priority is to locate and identify the source of pain by a precise diagnosis of the spine.

The start of treatment is preceded by a detailed evaluation of the results of imaging methods such as MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), an assessment of the medical history and the general health of the patient.

We use several types of diagnostic procedures that take about 15 minutes to accurately identify the source of pain. Detecting the site-source of pain allows us to determine the most effective procedure and the most appropriate treatment options.

Some of the diagnostic procedures already have a therapeutic effect and may provide pain relief for a longer period of time, such as injecting the drug directly into the site of pain. However, it is often necessary to undertake a more permanent solution in the form of therapeutic interventions.

In the case of pain in the lumbar, cervical and thoracic spine, we focus on the most common possible sources of pain:

  • Facet joints
  • Nerve roots
  • Intervertebral discs
  • The sacroiliac joint
