The international interactive meeting of outpatient physicians and nurses in the innovative form of the festival of case histories took place from 3rdto 5thMay in Nižná nad Oravou. Among more than five hundred participants, there were also representatives of EuroPainClinics facilities who shared their experience in mini-invasive and endoscopic treatment methods.
The EuroPainClinics block of papers addressing the treatment of chronic pain by mini-invasive and endoscopic procedures attracted a large number of participants, and all the presented case histories aroused active interest and lively discussion.
In the introductory paper, MUDr. Róbert Tirpák, FIPP, chief physician of the Clinic of Mini-invasive and Endoscopic Back Treatment in Prague, presented a transforaminal endoscopic revision of foramen with epiduroscopic assistance. He presented this procedure in the example of successful treatment of the renowned Slovak specialist-urologist prof. MUDr. Ladislav Valanský, PhD who struggled with chronic back pain for twenty-five years and whose pain was not relieved even after two conventional back surgeries.
The treatment of another famous Slovak person, the director and choreographer Ján Ďurovčík, who underwent percutaneous endoscopic treatment of a disc fragment at a clinic of the EuroPainClinics network, with the prolapse reaching the size of 18 mm at the time of the procedure, was described by MUDr. Martin Griger, FIPP, chief physician of EuroPainClinics in Bratislava.
