MUDr. Róbert Rapčan, FIPP, at the 5th International Conference on Interventional Pain Medicine and Neuromodulation in Warsaw

Both European and world medical experts took part in the 5th International Conference on Interventional Pain Medicine & Neuromodulation associated with the X Hands-on Cadaver Workshop from 30 June to 1 July. One of the main lecturers and instructors was MUDr. Róbert Rapčan, FIPP.
He shared his rich clinical experience in the field of his specialty, which is endoscopic operations on the spine, in the context of a block of lectures. In his lecture he talked about Endoscopic Discectomy and Epiduroscopy with a presentation of the clinical results of these surgical techniques as performed at EuroPainClinics®. The technical approach of these endoscopic methods under X-ray navigation was also the subject of his teaching at the Cadaver Workshop. MUDr. Rapčan also held the chair of the lecture block on Anatomy and Imaging for Pain Interventions.
The conference was held under the auspices of the London Pain Forum, Interventional Section, PTBB & Fundacja Promocji Medycyny Bólu in cooperation with the Warsaw Anatomical Institute.
The renowned neurosurgeon Dr Roger Strachan is President of the Neuromodulation Society of the United Kingdom and Ireland. He works at The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, England.
Dr Wojciech Nierodzinski is a leading Polish anaesthesiologist and pain management specialist. His specialization is interventional pain management and neuromodulatory treatment. He carries out his clinical practice at a clinic in Bialystok, which is also a EuroPainClinics® collaborating workplace.
Dr Andrzej Krol is a distinguished anaesthesiologist and pain management specialist. He was President of the Intervention Section of the Polish Society for Pain Management (IASP), is a founding member of the Polish Neuromodulation Society and a member of the London Pain Forum. He works
at St George’s Hospital in London and was the Scientific Director of the 5th International Conference in Warsaw.
Dr Teodor Goroszeniuk is the president of the London Pain Forum and the founder and vice president of the Polish Neuromodulation Society. He is a founding member and former President of the Intervention Section of the Polish Society for Pain Management (IASP). He is engaged in interventional pain management and neuromodulatory treatment. His specialization is peripheral stimulation and refractive SCC (Spinal Cord Stimulation).
Dr Ashish Shetty Shetty is a Consultant in Pain Management and Anaesthesia at the University College London Hospitals. He is the lead for Education and Neuromodulation at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London. He specializes in use of Neuromodulation for managing complex neuropathic pain conditions including chronic back, leg and pelvic pain. His research interests are in Neuromodulation and Neuropathic pain.
