20. 9. 2017
The David Gutgesel District Library in Bardejov, in cooperation with the Slovak Tourist Club BŠK, organized an “Evening with Hiking” for the general public on 18 September and MUDr. Róbert Rapčan, MBA, FIPP received an invitation to give a talk. In his engaging lecture on “Vansbrosimningen and No Stress”, he shared his experience with his several-year-long stay in Sweden, where he has hitherto also been regularly directing work duties, and he familiarized the guests with the activities and sporting feats of the EPC Pro Health Team.
MUDr. Rapčan’s interesting account, accompanied by snaps and photographs, allowed the participants, who filled the library room, to get to know a more detailed picture of the reality and charm of Sweden, to listen to a number of interesting points and facts and to learn about the customs and curiosities of this Nordic country.
In the next section, MUDr. Rapčan presented the activities of the EPC Pro Health Team, which has long been focused on promoting healthy lifestyles as a prevention of back pain (among others). In the context of Sweden, he emphasized the team’s successful participation this July at the largest open-water swimming competitions in Sweden, Vansbrosimningen 2017. The EPC Pro Health Team definitely found its form in a competition of 7,000 swimmers!
MUDr. Rapčan devoted the final part to outlining the EPC Pro Health Team’s plans for the near future. MUDr. Rapčan’s talk was met with great attention and enthusiasm from the guests and unleashed a lively discussion with a number of questions that was the cherry on the cake of a pleasantly spent evening together.
