Physiotherapeutic days with Björn Aasa were held in Bratislava

Within the framework of a comprehensive approach to the treatment of pain, EuroPainClinics®, in cooperation with a renowned Swedish specialist, Björn Aasa, held the Physiotherapeutic Days, which took place on September 23 and 24, this time at the premises of the specialized EuroPainClinics® workplace in Bratislava. Eighteen patients with varying degrees of movement difficulties underwent diagnosis of the musculoskeletal system and physiotherapy recommendations, including demonstrations and training of rehabilitation exercises.

The consultation with Björn Aasa testified to the ever-increasing interest amongst patients and other physiotherapeutic days are planned. Further information will be given to EuroPainClinics® visitors.

Aasa BjornBjörn Aasa, MaSci, RPT is a certified physiotherapist specializing in musculoskeletal pain. He was awarded a masters degree in the field of physiotherapy at the University of Umeå. As a member of the University research team his doctoral studies involved a number of scientific projects and clinical studies, for example on the subject of rehabilitating patients with mechanical nociceptive pain, lower back pain, the importance of motor control and movement control in the evaluation and rehabilitation of patients with disorders of the musculoskeletal system or the relationship between physical activity and capacity and musculoskeletal pain. In 2015, he was awarded the “JOSPT 2015 Excellence in Research” prize from the Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy in the category of scientific awards. He has devoted many years to the teaching of manual orthopaedic therapy and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. From 2009 to 2015 he was President of the Swedish Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Organisation.
