Professional medical seminar in Košice presenting current trends in the treatment of back pain

On 2 May 2016 the Hotel Yasmin in Kosice will hold an expert seminar on “Current Trends in the Interventional Treatment of Back Pain”, organized by the Bardejov Association of Physicians with the participation of EuroPainClinics®, leading specialists in pain treatment.
The seminar will introduce innovative perspectives and approaches to the field of interventional pain management when developing mini-invasive and endoscopic techniques as unique treatment methods. It is intended for professional doctors and GPs whose clinical practice involves the issue of chronic back pain in their patients.
The programme will include three themed blocks. Pain specialist, intensivist and intervention specialist in advanced endoscopic procedures, MUDr. Robert Rapčan, FIPP will talk about the significance and methods for a precise diagnosis of the spine, by means of which the source of back pain is localized and identified. The benefits of advanced spinal endoscopic procedures carried out on damaged (herniated) intervertebral discs will be presented by the renowned European orthopaedic surgeon and specialist in the treatment of pain Dr. G. Michael Hess. Anaesthesiologist and intensivist MUDr. Juraj Mláka, head of the specialized outpatient department for pain treatment in Košice, will deal with the theme of the epiduroscopy as a unique therapeutic procedure focused on the removal of epidural fibrosis arising as a result of failed back surgery syndrome (FBSS) in the epidural area.
The Executive Director of EuroPainClinics®,Mgr. Miroslav Hutka, MBA, will introduce guests to the company’s philosophy and activity as a guarantor of knowledge platforms at partner institutions.
The seminar is accredited by the Slovak Accreditation Council for Continuous Medical Education (SACCME).
