Viktor Witkovski, Clinical Research Advisor

Doc. RNDr. Viktor Witkovský, CSc. is a mathematical statistician specialising in data analysis. He is a research worker at the Institute of Measurement Science SAS where he leads the Department of Theoretical Methods. He is an expert in the theory of mathematical statistics methods and calculation aspects of statistical data analysis. His research is focused on the development of new methods in mathematical statistics and applied mathematics, mainly on research in the field of linear and nonlinear regression models and in the area of statistical methods and algorithms for biomedical application, technical application, measurement issues and metrology. His experience includes working on local and international scientific projects (supported by grant agencies in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and by European Commission and its science programmes) focusing on various aspects of mathematical statistics as well as biomedical research where he worked as an expert on statistical analysis of the acquired data.

Viktor Witkovský graduated in Probability and mathematical statistics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Comenius University in Bratislava where he earned the degree of Doctor of Natural Science in 1986. He earned the degree of Candidate of Sciences (CSc.) at Czech Academy of Sciences in 1993 and he has been working at the Institute of Measurement Science ever since. He earned the scientific/pedagogical degree of Assistant Professor (Doc.) in mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics at Comenius University in Bratislava.
